Rapido 222523 HO GMD FP7 - DCC w/LokSound - Ontario Northland #1504
(Early Scheme, green, yellow, red)
The Rapido Trains GMD FP7 is based on Canadian-built locomotives constructed for Ontario Northland by General Motors Diesel Division in London, Ontario. Built between September 1950 and October 1953, many of the fleet continued in regular revenue service with some lasting into the 1990s on long haul passenger runs and until 2002 on Montreal commuter trains.
This model was built using original EMD-GMD blueprints and field measurements to ensure accuracy and includes correct roadname-appropriate detailing. Other features of the model include a full cab interior, separately applied metal details, etched-metal grilles and metal magnetic knuckle couplers. The GMD FP7 comes equipped with an ESU LokSound sound and DCC decoder with accurate sound recordings.
